I’ve been there for football (Feyenoord v Newcastle in the Champions League, a famous victory for us!) but we were with a friend with a car and we stayed a bit out of the city on the coast so I didn’t get the chance to explore as we normally do on our football trips. Maybe another time!

I don’t know if you’ve ever been to Rotterdam, but being a large port, it suffered heavy bomb damage during the war and they’ve rebuilt parts of it with some interesting architecture.

It’s possible to visit one of them, but unfortunaely not when I was there.
